Remodeling of what was originally the care-taker’s residence, to create a compactly designed guest apartment with living room-kitchen-dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. The existing layout was overly compartmentalized, its inner bedrooms lacked ventilation, and it had a general lack of light as a result of the limited openings in the front. A more comfortable living arrangement is proposed that is more expansive and includes larger windows that capture more light. The translucent glass between rooms creates transparency and luminosity that benefits every corner.
